1999 Interim Field Report

The 1999 Field Report covers the 1999
field season. It includes information on recently
excavated features including ditches, palisades, human
burials, and a building with a large cellar. A synopsis
of all major features excavated from 1994 to 1999 is
found along with a material summary. A collection of
artifacts focusing on interactions with Native Americans
is also presented.
This is one in an ongoing series of technical interim
reports covering the
Jamestown Rediscovery project. It is intended as a summary of a single season's
excavations and all conclusions are
tentative.
